Barbara Kimmelman teaches history and whatever else needs teaching. She began her 20th year with Philadelphia University in fall 2008.  She is trained as an historian of science and technology, and has taught courses in those subject areas, but at the moment is teaching courses on contemporary affairs and American history.  She serves on the School of Liberal Arts Personnel Committee, and will chair the University's Faculty Personnel Committee for two years beginning this fall.  She also serves as a first-year advisor and coordinates the History I courses.   When not at work, she spends a lot of time trying to figure out how to parent two teenagers.
