Career Spotlights
Employers conduct presentations to highlight a specific career path or opportunity within their organization. Presentations typically take place during our free period on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 12:15-2:15pm.
Open House Participation
Career Services holds an Open House for students at the beginning of each semester as a “Welcome Back” and to promote our events for the semester. Employers send gift cards and/or prizes as a way to gain name recognition for our raffle at this event.
Develop a Strategy with Career Services
Work with the Career Services staff to tailor a recruiting strategy that works for your organization’s needs and priorities. The employers that have two touch points a year with the students will have a much better chance of the student seeking them out upon graduation or for internships.
Partner with Student Groups
Career Services can connect you with professional and academic student run organizations to assist you in recruiting and partnering with a specific student body. For more information about our students groups click here.
Attend Recruiting Events
Employers can attend Corporate Connections, Design Expo, Virtual Fashion Career Fair, and Career and Internship Fair. For more information click here.
Portfolio Review Days
Employers review students' portfolios in an informal setting and offer feedback and suggestions so students can prepare for the DesignExpo Recruiting Event.
Connect with Faculty
Career Services can connect you with particular faculty members in the disciplines in which you have a recruiting interest. Employers may wish to speak in specific classes or discuss joint projects with faculty.
Company Tours and Alumni Networking/Recruiting Events
Work with the Career Services Center to arrange tours of your facility for specific groups of students. These tours help to expose students to your organization. Additionally if you have a large number of alumni we can work with you to arrange an alumni/recruiting event during the school year. This event brings together current students and alumni at an organization's site. A company could pre-select the students to invite to the event and employees could network with the students to find out more about their educational background and goals.

PhilaU students and alumni can join this group to connect with Philadelphia University employer partners.
Employers: The Career Services Center at Philadelphia University offers a FREE online job board, where you can post your positions and track your applications for your internships, entry-level and experienced opportunities. We ask that you continue to post your position on CareerLink and use this LinkedIn Group to mention you’ve posted a specific position, directing interested applicants to view details and apply on CareerLink. CareerLink is a vital resource that we use to track the number of employers and job seekers who utilize our CareerLink system.
